About the Awards

Entry into the Siren Awards is free. There are three categories - Radio Single, Radio Campaign, and Craft. (A Radio Campaign consists of no less than three different commercials).

Winners are announced every two months with the annual winner (from the creative categories) automatically entered into the Cannes Radio Lions in June each year – plus awarded a trip for two to the Cannes Lions international Advertising Festival!

The Siren Awards promote and reward the commercials that stand out from the crowd, and the winner from each round becomes the judge for the next round. The Siren Awards are designed to attract the best radio creative in the land!

There are five rounds in the Siren Awards.  The winning and highly commended entries from each round are judged in the annual Siren Awards that are held in May.

The Craft category is in addition to the Radio Single and Radio Campaign entry categories.

The winner in the Craft category for each Round will become a finalist in the Annual Siren Awards, and will be in the running for a Silver Siren Craft trophy. Winners will also be awarded the power to judge the winner of the Craft category in the following Round.

You may enter your commercial in all three categories if you wish, but a separate entry form must be filled out for each entry. The eligibility criteria for the current Radio Single and Radio Campaign categories are also applicable to the Craft category. In the case of advertisements entered under the Craft Entry category, only the audio file is necessary.

Audio material must be submitted into all categories as MP3 files at 256 kbps/sec, 16 bit stereo, the general standard for sending commercials to radio stations. This will ensure that the sound quality of each spot is fairly represented.

The 2011 Rounds are divided throughout year as follows:

Round 1 :  08 March – 14 May 2010 NOW OPEN!!!
Round 2 :  17 May – 23 July 2010

Round 3 :  26 July – 17 September 2010  

Round 4 :  20 September – 26 November 2010

Round 5 :  29 November – 18 February 2011
